Question: What is the status of Prospector? Will it be back?

As of late December 2020, we and the other member libraries of the Flatirons Library Consortium (FLC) discontinued participation in Prospector due to budget cuts and shortfalls stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope to reinstate this service, perhaps in January 2022, though we can't guarantee that date, as the economy recovers and local library budgets are restored. We are carefully monitoring our budgets and the costs associated with the service. You can still place holds on books belonging to any FLC library (Longmont, Lafayette, Broomfield and Louisville) and have those books sent to us for pickup. To access the collections of libraries not in the FLC, view their catalogs online and/or contact them directly. Most allow anyone in the state to get their cards and use their collections. While their items can't be shipped to us for local pickup, you can return them to us as the courier is still running.
