Q. Some years ago BPL had available Safari Books Online from O'Reilly Media. Is hat still the case and, if so, how do I get there?

Thanks so much for contacting us. I'm happy to say we do still have a subscription to Safari Books Online. You can access this readily from the homepage of the library website by clicking on the the "eCollections" graphic on the right hand side. From there you will see a Quick Link  to Safari Books and you will also find it listed under the 'ebook' collections. You'll need your library card to access. All Safari titles are also found in the catalog; they are listed with an ebook icon and a direct link to the specific book below the text "available online"

If you'd like to bookmark the ecollections page the direct link is: http://research.boulderlibrary.org/eCollections-Home

You may want to check out the ebrary collection of ebooks as well, they also have a large collection of computer and technical books, and if you are looking for instruction on a variety of software applications we have two resources that are helpful, Atomic Training which is video instruction and Gale Courses which are instructor led courses. You can find these on our education guide  http://research.boulderlibrary.org/education.

Thanks again for your interest and please let me know if you have any additional questions about Safari,
