Q. Why do I continually receive only 7 days to listen to my audio books? I thought the time out was 3 weeks... Thank you.


Hi there,

Only our physical materials (books, Cds) check out for three weeks.  Our digital materials check out for one or two weeks.  The default loan period is one week (as you have discovered!) but this can be changed to two.  Attached is a document explaining how to change the default loan period to the maximum allowed for the Front Range Downloadable Library.

All you need to do is sign-in to your account, click "settings" and choose your preferred loan periods.

If you need longer than two weeks, you can request a "renewal" which will put you back in the holds queue for the item and requires a re-download.  It's basically like checking-out the item again.  Here is a link to renewal instructions: http://help.overdrive.com/article/0260/How-to-renew-digital-titles
