Q. I was told that I can access Ancestry.com through the library. How do I do that?

Thanks for your question. We do indeed have a subscription to Ancestry.com Library Edition. However, due to terms of use from Ancestry.com, we are only allowed to offer it from within the library, no remote access is allowed. It does however, have many features available only to subscribers, so if you are using it in our facility you can download to a flash drive or email many documents for later viewing.

We also have a subscription to Heritage Quest which does allow remote access. You will need your library card number to access this from home.

You can find both these resources at the following link: http://research.boulderlibrary.org/genealogy

These are found from the homepage by clicking on "elibrary and eresearch" then choosing Genealogy from the bulleted list in the middle of the page.

If you don't have a library card, you can sign up for a temporary number which will give you two weeks of access to the database subscriptions. http://boulderlibrary.org/card/#temp

Thanks for your interest in our library e-resources! Have a great day.
