Q. world cat? How do I use this? where do I find it?

Thanks for contacting us.

The library subscribes to Worldcat [also known as FirstSearch] through OCLC.  You can find information and the link to it on this page: http://research.boulderlibrary.org/worldcat

To get to that link from the home page:

1. Choose eLibrary and eResearch from the link on the left hand side. This opens our Research pages.

2. Browse through the bulleted list until you see on the lower right under More Guides:   Interlibrary Loan: Worldcat

OR Choose from the green tabs above the bulleted list:  A-Z DATABASE List  and choose W for Worldcat.

You can also use the site search and enter Worldcat, that will point to the link as well.

Worldcat is used to order items through Interlibrary Loan when they aren't available regionally through Prospector. Once you search and find the item you want, choose Borrow this item from another library in the application, this will bring up a form to fill out and submit.

We can certainly help walk you through the process if you'd like to give us a call at 303-441-3194 or stop by the service desks for instruction. Let me know directly if there is something in particular that I can help you obtain. sciosciag@boulderlibrary.org

Sincerely Gina Reference 303-441-3194
