The new e-catalogue no longer indicates how long the queue is for books placed on hold. Can this be remedied?

Hi Alexander,

Thanks for your question.

Yes, this information is a click or two deeper in the new catalog, but luckily it is there. Let's say you get to the summary screen showing all the formats for the book All the Light We Cannot See:

On this screen, you can see that there are 72 copies of the print book in the system, and that they are all checked out. If you click on the word "book" to see the fuller record for the print copies, you'll then see that there are 145 people on the wait list (at this moment!).

Please let us know if you're having any other trouble finding what you need in the new catalog.

Hope this helps.

  1. The information about number of holds is not easy to find, and certainly not intuitive.

Under Formats, clicking "Large Print" format does open a page with the number of holds. Clicking "Book" format shows hardcover and an unlabeled format which turns out to be books on order. Both of those have a "More Info" button; clicking that button reveals the hold stats.
